Toy Story 4 was uncalled for. The action of this film picks up a few months after Toy Story 3 ended and had a whole new storyline, It was showing how all the toys got to travel with their new caretaker, Bonnie. The movie shows how all the toys work together while traveling and learning how to work with Bonnie, but along the line some of the toys get split up from Bonnie and have to figure out a way to get back to her as the family still travels.
The toys go through treacherous times to find Bonnie. They are met with many obstacles such as having to fend for their lives and also trying not to be taken and kept captive by other toys. At the end of the movie, Woody, the main toy, runs into an old toy friend that he knew from long ago. Woody ends up deciding to “retire”; Woody leaves the group and travels with his old toy friend, living an adventurous end while his friends stay with Bonnie.
This movie ruined a happy ending that all three previous movies made for themselves. In Toy Story 3, Andy, the previous caretaker of the toys, went to college. He ended up giving the toys to the young girl named Bonnie, and Andy proceeded to move on with his life. As we watched him move on from his childhood, we were sad but accepted it.
But when Toy Story 4 came out, the movie ruined an ending that already wasn't enjoyable. Woody has been the toy leader and been with the group since day one, so he's been with them for all four movies now and had two different caretakers.
This movie has been very popular since its release, and I think there are two sides to every story so I think that everyone has their own choice of why they think this movie is good. But with the series coming to an end, I can clearly say I don't like this movie personally. It was just a good way to ruin a good ending.
