Borat makes a second trip to America with an even more ridiculous goal than last time in this very nice sequel
America's favorite Kazakhstani journalist is back with “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” another politically in-correct comedy by Sacha Baron Cohen.

The plot of this whole movie is pretty loose and just an excuse for Baron Cohen to have some outrageous conversations and pranks.
Ever since Borat Sagdiyev released his first movie and embarrassed his nation, he has been living in a Gulag for punishment. After 14 years the government recruits him to bring a celebrity monkey to Vice President Mike Pence, they believe this will regain them the respect that they lost after Borat made a fool of himself and by extension his country. Unlike last time, he’s accompanied by his 15 year old daughter Tutar. She doubles the awkwardness and humor, getting them into new and unexpected situations.
I think this movie is really essential to watch. For one, it’s just really funny. 2020 has been wild with the election and the pandemic, and Borat gives us the hilarious recap of the year that everyone needed.
This is also a good lesson, it gives us a look at some people’s nastier beliefs. Borat’s anti-semitic and extremely sexist personality easily convinces the people he talks with to share some shocking things, for example when he orders a cake saying “Jews will not replace us” with a smiley face, the baker makes it without even questioning him.
The film is similar to the one he made 14 years ago in that it's a nice comedic comment on the state of America. However it still stands apart from the original, because of its more serious politics focused plot (not to say it isn't still goofy). The movie has caused some actual news stories recently involving some of its scenes, meaning watching it is also important if you want to stay in the loop.
In conclusion, I think this movie will appeal to everybody, it's got plenty of current affairs, lots of laugh till you cry moments and it truly adds some great humor to this trainwreck of a year!
